Laptop core speed VERY slow.

I just got this laptop and have been having a speed problem with it. Its my first laptop, so I don't know much about them. Here is what CPU-Z is telling me...

Like I said, I don't know much about laptops, but is the core speed suppose to be THAT low considering it is a 3300+ Sempron? Is there any way I can speed it up or do I just have to live with it?

Try slamming the CPU with some heavy tasks and check it again. My 3000+ Athlon64 normally runs at 1.8Ghz but will clock to 922Mhz when nothing is happening.

Hah. That did the trick. I guess it idle's down that low then once a load is put on it, it kicks in. Thanks for the help.
