European Keyboard

I have inherited a Sony notebook with a European keyboard. I have no manual and cannot figure how to access the @ sign for sending emails. The sign (@) is on the keypad and have tried all the combo's I can think of ctrl alt etc. Can someone please tell me how....thank you very much.

Try the " key (SHIFT + ' )

You're currently using a United Kingdom layout, are you looking to use a US layout?

Just go into the Regions control panel and you can change the layout for your keys there.

They have overlays for keyboards, but that's just not worth it. It's located in Regional settings -> Languages -> Details -> Add

Select English-United States and United States-International

Click OK. Select the other layouts and remove them. OK out of the rest of the windows. That should do it!
