HP zd7000 screen issue
hey guys,
A problem with my lappy started occuring the other day. Booted it up and all was fine, then the screen started flickering between what looks like 256 colours and the normal 32bit. Now it is mainly looking like 256 colours with the occasional flicker to 32bit. Has the screen had it? its the 17" one. Any help would be good thanks! |

What happens if you go into the display properties and change it back to 32 bit color? Is it showing in 256 colors while the contol pannel says its 32 bit color?

nah its in 32bit mode, i dont think its windows related which i thought it might be before as i noticed its now like that during startup....
256 colors isnt an option in the screen properties so something internal must be on the way out i guess.... any other ideas? |

If windows says its 32 bit but its not displaying that then its definatly a problem with the screen. But one more thing to check, plug in an external display and see if the same thing happens.

Indeed, try that external. If it does the same thing, its a driver issue. If id doesn't it's your screen or LCD connector (to motherboard). Is it 256 colors or inverted/off color?
