OS: win 2000 pro / Win XP pro

My System

Send a message via MSN to linderman
you could give it a try if the versions and service packs are the same

example=

your OS is a Win XP home edition with SP-1

and the Dell Disk is a Win XP home edition with SP-1

but if one is a Win XP Pro and the other is not then it wont work or it one OS disk had SP-1 and the other has SP-2 it wont work

i think you mayyyyyy also find the dell disks look for a dell code off the mobo/ bios so it probably wont get you very far

sooner or later (I'll bet sooner) you are going to have to get yourself a legit copy of win xp >>>> look on ebay but make sure you get one with a COA (certificate of authenticity)

dont get sucked into buying the cracked versions >>>> they are a joke and dont run long !! its like borrowing an OS

The Dell cd's will probably work. I've used dell OEM cd's to fix compaq and gateway as well as fresh installs. Seems most of the OEM disks for sale are labeled either dell or gateway and have COA's. Just might have to slipstream the service packs. Good luck

Slipstream
