I formatted my hard drive because the setup told me that i cant deleate the partion so i erased the whole hard drive big mistake!!!! now what can i do to put windows back on it because it wont load windows even when i set the boot option to the cd rom drive all it does is flicker a whit line after the dell logo comes up please help me?

Hi,
If you didn't do anything except format the disk, then it should work. How did you go about formatting it, I mean by what method and how did you do it? In the BIOS setup menu, be sure your boot order is set to: CDRom - 1st Floppy - 2nd Hard Disk - 3rd (make sure this is the disk you want to boot from) Note: Don't forget to save before you exit. That being done, you should be able to put the CDRom OS disk (full version) in the cd drive, turn on the computer, and away it should start to load the OS. Post back with questions/concerns.
