HD only works after hitting enter

I have an Emachine computer, I thought I was having problems with viruses so I did a full system restore. But before the restore one of the problems was, before the computer would boot it would say that my HD was not functing properly and to hit enter to continue. I hit enter and then it would boot fine. This problem exists before and after the rebuild. Any ideas?

No you do not need to talk to them. Go to Western Digitals website and download the diagnostic tool. And run the test to see if your hard drive is failing. I am assuming you are getting a S.M.A.R.T error. Which warns s you about a possible hard disk failure.
