Cry Always running low on space...

i've checked the properties of my C drive *i only have one drive -___* and it tells me that i have 7.83GB of space, and only 608MB left. but when i click into my C drive and select all the files + folders, it says that i've only used 2.28gb. so where has the rest of the space gone too?

even tho it says i have 608mb left, an error always pop up telling me that i'm running out of diskspace and should delete some files whenever i download something that's around 40mb. so why does it tell me i have 608mb when i only have 40mb? and it seems like no matter how many files i delete, i always seem to only have 40mb of free space.

i really don't know what to do =(

if you are using norton right click on your recycle bin and purge your protected files. You might still have everything you've ever deleted in there.
