can anyone please help a budding teenage computer builder sort his problem?
put in new HDD 250GIG windows dont notice it or recognize. starts up perfectly but no new HDD detected. HELP! appreciated much

Did you right click on My Computer, Manage, Disk Management, and partition and format the drive?

Native WinXP will not support 48 bit LBA. You will need to apply at least SP1 to see drives larger than 137GB.
The first thing is, make sure your BIOS will support 48 bit LBA. I would reccommend flashing the latest BIOS for your motherboard. |
