Help! Please! I am so fustrated.
I've tried so many things, but nothing works because my system isn't reading Drive C. All I can do is boot from a floppy disk and get to a:\ prompt. I can't run anything because I get a message that says win32 is needed to run program. Sometimes I get an error message: NTLDR is missing. Most of the time I get an error message: (while initializing device SHELL) Cannot find or load required file KRNL386.EXE. The file was not found. System halted. What can I do? I cannot get into Safe Mode, Scandisk, Scanreg, ....... Nothing, because it can't read Drive C. Any advice? |

Don't want to lose my files and programs.
The last thing I want is to lose all my files and programs. If I re-install will I lose everything? Also, you advised me to try a Repair first, but the link you provided was for Windows XP. I am running Windows ME.

the only worthwhile bit of advice I could share with you is / buy a second hard drive (unless you have a spare drive we could zero fill (erase) and reinstall windows) then use you old drive for a slave >>> in hopes of recovering your data ????
regards joe
