Best hard drive?
I'm going to have to buy a new hard drive. Is there a consensus on which brand is best? WD, Seagate, Maxtor, etc? Drive to be replaced is a Seagate IDE. I don't think the mobo will support a SATA. Board is a Micro Star MS-6701.

Seagate makes very nice drives. I'm currently running a Maxtor; the drive I bought it to replace was actually fine but has lately developed a bad sector.

if you are in the US seagates come with a 5yr warranty and are one of the top drives when you start getting bad sectors it is usually time to start planning a replacement
