Lost partitions on SATA HDDs
I have been running my pc with 2 160GB SATA HDDs, each containing 2 partitions. These are not set up as RAID disks. I also have a 160GB IDE HDD with Win XP OS.
My wife (bless her) has inadvertently gone into the RAID facility and now I cannot see the partitions on my SATA drives. I can recover the data using appropriate software, but as there is a lot (photos etc) I would prefer if possible to recover the partitions. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can go about this? |

Welcome to the forum:
Here are three programs ranking from the easiest to use to the more indepth http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...rtition+doctor this one is the gold standard / easy to use very high perfromance rating / but not free http://www.pcinspector.de/file_recovery/uk/welcome.htm this is good but ~~~ deeper water & free http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/bootitng.html another real useful utility / deep water for intermediate computer users / its free to try given that your in a situtation of data recovery / i would strongly advise the use of the first link / the others are great but chances for data loss are also very elevated regards joe
