250gb = 100 Gb??
recently, i opened my computer to install my dvd-rw drive, but i had to shuffle my harddrive around for some of the cables to reach. i looked and the sticker labeling was 250GB, and even when i goto setup in DOS during the boot-up, it says its a 250.1GB HD......is there some reason it's only 100?

Where do you see it listed as 100gig? Check Disk Management and tell us what it shows you about the drive.

im not sure where u want me to check, but when i go into mycomputer and right click--> properties, it shows up as 100 gigs. actually i just discovered something strange. i went into device manager through control panel (is that what u meant to look at?) and i right clicked on my hd, looked at properties,clicked on populate under volumes and it says:
Capacity:238472 MB Unallocated Space:134238 MB Reserved Space: 0 MB then on the bottom there's a box labelled volumes Capacity C: 104234 MB |
