HDD problem ?

Hello,
I have HDD 120G .
it appears to be should formatted ? and when I want to open it it ask me " The Disk drive E is not formated . Do you want to format it ?

I have tried many program to restore LIKE " Filerecoveryangel , FinalRecovery and DiskInternals Uneraser "

Please provide me a soltution .. and should I formated it then if I do format and then run recover program ??

Hi,

Actually, the more you do with it the less likely that you will recover anything. Otherwise, don't format it yet.

Has this drive ever worked recently or did it just quit? How did it quit working, just stopped, would not boot, or why? Is this your primary or slave drive (or boot drive)? What other drives do you have on the computer and how are they hooked up (master, slave jumpers....where on cable)?
What OS are you using and do you have a self booting OS disk?

This should help us to know more about your system. Might also want to tell us about your motherboard, drives, video card, etc...components of your computer. When you list drives, list also the type and brand name.

actually [ the HDD for my friend ] this is not an HDD (Slave) it just contain files and no OS on it . it was worked .. but the problem is my friend one time his computer asked him to insert CD of Windows and he do installing windows as he said and when it reached 7% of installing Win. he stopped the PC .. and now as you sea his current state ..

Can we restore or recover the files ?

provide a solution please

try slaving it in another comp and see if you can salvage anything
