CAnt connect a hdd to my mobo/ NEED HELP

hey people

i bought a msi laptop, i installed windows 7 on it and everything ran fine.
Now i got a virus and my hard drive is done and i took it to a bunch of ppl and nothing

now thats not the problem

i bought a new hdd for my laptop
and on the old laptop there is no place to connect the hdd interface cable
but on the new one there is
now i dont kno how to connect this new one to the motherboard
and i dont see any place for the interface cable on my mobo

PLEASE HELP ME
I REALLY REALLY NEED MY LAPTOP

We need some information.

What laptop? Model, and a link to it would be nice.

Make and model of the old and new hard drives.

Many laptop drives are in a sort of caddy, which needs to be put onto the new
drive before it's mounted into the computer.

Also, a lot of IDE laptop drives have an adapter to something a bit more solid than the IDE pin header.

and im just going to buy the same type of hdd as i had before
and get a refund on the other one but thx for your interest
