Bad Hardrive?

Ok, well my old computer was dieing so i got a new one and i was salvaging parts from it, and i was a bit weary as to if i should Install the hardrive into my new computer because i believed it had a problem, what was happening was the computer was slowed WAY down every game i tryed to play would crash and... I restored the computer and the problem persisted, so my question is do you think it is the hard drive or the graphics card? and if it is not the hard drive doing this do you think i should bother puting it into this computer? Thanks in advance

Re: Bad Hardrive?

You will need to install the drive into a computer to test it. You can test the drive using the manufacturers disk tools found in the sticky: Hard Drive Diagnostic Utilities

Re: Bad Hardrive?

Risk is minimal if you aren't booting from it. If you are worried about "infection", repartition and format the drive, then test it.
