Computer Freezes UP
I have a Gateway Laptop with windows XP. My computer keeps freezeing up on me so I ran chkdsk it gets to stage 4 70% then freezes up. So I think I have some bad spots on my hard drive. So I try and run back up and it freezes up the computer. I have also tried copying the hard drive to my external back up hard drive and it freezes up the computer. Is there any way I can back up the hard drive with another computer or some other way?

Re: Computer Freezes UP
Unstoppable copier http://www.roadkil.net will copy the files, it will not be a bootable clone however. You could also try MHDD from www.hddguru.com running scan -remap to mark and remap bad sectors. You wil lose data in bad sectors with both these methods.
