Lacie Rugged
Hi,
![]() I was wondering a bit how to use my Lacie Rugged with my Mac, directions on how to start backing up were not included. I really appreciate the support! Can I click on the LACIE icon on my desktop and start to drag and drop files into the drive, and as many as i want? If so what the purpose of time machine, doesn't this essential do the same thing and if not how are they diffrent? Does LACIE automatically back everything I have manually put on there everytime I connect the drive to my computer or is this something I need to update manually? How do I adjust or find out how often time machine will backup my stuff? How do I do a full back up, precise backup versus doing a light backup? Thanks so much!

Re: Lacie Rugged
I've not used that drive, software, or a mac. With that said, you should be able to simply drag and drop any files that you like. Time Machine is an OS X application. In any case, it is an automated process that you setup to identify which files and/or folders to backup.
