Raiding, Need help
Hi I am running a asus m4n72-e motherboard and I am having issues setting up my multiple raids in windows vista to work properly.
I am running 2x1tb seagate barracudas and 3x1.5tb seagate barracudas and I cannot get vista to recognize the 4.5tb drive as a full drive it will always cut it down to 2tb which is less than half the size. It is also treating it as the boot drive being it installed windows onto that raid and not onto my 2tb raid. Any help would be much appreciated and thank you in advance |

Re: Raiding, Need help
Well I have a buddy who is running a 1.5tb boot drive and 3x1.5tb storage drive and he got vista to recognize that it is that size on 32bit. But he is being a jerk and not willing to help me out to get it working. I know it is do-able what I want to do but it is just being a piece of crap and not letting me. I'm not sure if i need a certain driver or what?

Re: Raiding, Need help
You could probably get the raid recognized as 2 partitions. Also when you create the partition, select the GPT type partition option and see if that will recognize more than an MBR type partition.

Re: Raiding, Need help
ok well thanks for the input but I figured it out. I had to unplug my 3x1.5tb's and then get my os back on the 2x1tb's then i plugged them back in and set it up in computer managment. Thanks so much for the advice though :D
