My Hard Drive keeps beeping

My external hard drive (Maxtor Basics External Hard Drive 1TB) beeps every 3 seconds when the power is inserted. I have got a new power supply for it but t still beeps and i need the space as my computer is running low on space so i need to send it somewhere instead of deleting it.

If you know how to fix the problem could you please help

Usually beeping indicates a physical failure of the drive Sound like any of these? http://www.datacent.com/hard_drive_sounds.php

Nah its none of them i tried recording the sound but i cannot upload it to the site but its in .aup format. its literally 1 beep every 3 seconds.
