Master/Slave (Newbie)

Ok, so right now I am having issues loading up windows, and so far it seems like a Hard Drive issue.

When I load up my computer, it says my ONE and ONLY hard drive is set to slave? This is bad right? How do I set it to master...if that will fix the problem.

I have read something about jumpers. Not sure where those are, or how to use then, etc.

My HDD says no jumper for slave, and jumper for master. Im guessing im not using my jumper.

It was working fine earlier, something recently happened to make it stop working

Please help

Re: Master/Slave (Newbie)

The jumpers are on the end of the drive with the power and data cable. Google the model number of your drive for the jumper position details for your particular drive. Different drives have different jumper settings. what is the make and model of the drive?
