XXClone & Ext Hard Drive
I've used XXClone to back up the entire volume of C: Drive to a Toshiba 320GB Ext Drive. It takes up 29GB of the 298GB available.
It also says to make a Quick Boot Diskette by inserting a formatted diskette in A. That i don't understand...what is a Diskette, please? Is it a blank DVD or CD?If so how do i make the QBD? Also, am i still able to copy files in the future to the huge free space left of the Ext Drive without it affecting the C: Drive back up? Many thanks. |

Re: XXClone & Ext Hard Drive
If you did the backup as an image file, then yes you can add additional files to the drive. The diskette they are talking about would be a 3.5 inch floppy disk.

Re: XXClone & Ext Hard Drive
That is a clone of the drive, an image would have everything collected in one file. Not sure about adding files to the disk, never used XXClone - not sure how it will react if you add more files. Check the properties and see what they show for free space.
