Dead HDD?
Hey all,
I have a SATA HDD as a main hard drive and i tried adding a second IDE drive to install windows on it, the problem is, The BIOS registers it as there, but once i get to 'My computer' and stuff, it goes missing, i can't access it via ISO's or entering direct drive letters, any help would be appreciated. |

Re: Dead HDD?
Unplug the Sata drive, then insert your windows disk, partition and format it and away it should load the OS on there. Then, when done, go to the bios in the Hard Drive Priority area and set the one you want to boot from as the drive at the top of the list.
Note: You should be able to do that without unplugging if you set that as the drive to boot from first, but if it were mine, I would just unplug and do it if you can't get that to work.
