Drive replacements

I'm planning on building my new system soon, and ordering the parts tomorrow. However the DVD drive & HDD that I was going to get are out of order.

Would this DVD drive be okay instead of this drive?

Would this HDD be okay instead of this HDD?

Also while I'm here I might as well ask even though I'm fairly sure that it is possible; can I simply remove the drive from a 3.5" external enclosure and mount it internally? This is the drive that I'll be using (if it's possible), and what cable will I need to do this? (Pretty sure it's SATA?)

Re: Drive replacements

The links didn't work for me. You could try doing them again, and maybe even saying
what the links go to. That way we click on less links, often we know the component, and
don't need to go to a link. Most of the time I just move on to the next post if a person
can't tell what the component is, as well as putting in a link. Looking at a list of parts and
maybe looking at a link or two, is much faster than having to launch a whack of browsers
just to get info that could be read in seconds, if it was there.

Re: Drive replacements

Alright, I wanted to know if a 'LG GH22NS40 22x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer ReWriter (Black) - OEM' would be okay as a replacement for a 'Samsung SH-S223B/BEBE 22x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer ReWriter (Black) - OEM' drive.

And whether a 'Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (WD10EADS)' would be okay as a replacement for a 'Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.B 1TB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM'.
