[SOLVED] Need to get all my hard drives together - how?

I have 4 HDDs
2 - IDE
2 - SATA
will be buying more. so I need to get all those HDDs together. Unfortunately the USB HDD is not an option (please don't ask) need more stable solution.

Is there something like an HDD Console. I'm sure there is, like you pile up all the Hard drives in there and then connect the console to the computer.

Thanks.

Before you post
1. No I don't have enough IDE or SATA ports inside.
2. I don't have enough USB's to buy a USB box for each one.

See if any of these fit your budget

I have a similar setup, but I used an older PC with controller cards . .

Re: Need to get all my hard drives together - how?

I know, what about buying a computer for 70$ that was a top notch computer 3 years ago and put all the HDD's inside it, and get it connected to the network?

Re: Need to get all my hard drives together - how?

That's what Idid for my server . . except that I already had it. Processor speed is not so important but I would stuff as much memory in it as you can afford. I took out the CD drives and used the primary and secondary chanels for the hard drives . . later added a controller card for more drives.

In effect you make a poor mans server!
