Why Windows show my SATA disk as SCSI?

I have a question, I have a SATAII drive and is enabled as AHCI but Device Manager show it as SCSI, why?

Re: Why Windows show my SATA disk as SCSI?

It is showing it as a SAS SCIS disk ( Serial Attached Scsi) SATA and SAS use a common standard, and in fact SAS can read SATA ( the reverse doesn't work tho.) Your controller is probably a SAS controller.

Sorry for the small image seems this forum shrunk it when I uploaded it, but it is 5AS (Five) (part of the model of the disk)

the labeling doesnt mean anything wrong or to be alarmed about; its a common annoyance really
