Hi everybody,
I have a toshiba satellite a 215-s5818. The hdd crashed and I wanted to get a new one. I was looking to buy a -Western Digital - Scorpio Blue 250GB Internal Serial ATA- I Have the recovery disks that came with the computer it is a windows vista home premium 32-bit recovery and applications/ drivers disk(s). Can I just buy a hard drive and put the put in the disks or do i have to buy windows vista? |

So long as the recovery disk didn't count on a hidden recovery partition on teh old HD you should be fine. I know when I had Toshibas, the install was complete on the disk. If for some reason it isn't, you should be able to contact Toshiba and get a replacement disk
