[SOLVED] My Dell Inspiron E1405 has no sound.
I have a Dell Inspiron E1405. My friend gave it to me, but when I got it, I realized alot of things on the hard drive were missing. But the only thing that really bothers me is the fact that there's no sound on the laptop. I've already tried everything from changing my audio settings to trying to download all of the necessary sound drivers to using System Restore. Nothing works.
I called Dell and asked for recovery disks, etc. but they wouldn't send them to me. I went to Fry's Electronics and asked them if clearing my hard drive and downloading a new OS would recover my laptop to the way it originally was, but they said that they weren't sure. Having a laptop with no sound is a nightmare I've been dealing with for a while now, and I don't know what to do. Should I just take it to a repair shop? Would they be able to revert everything to the way it originally was? How much would it cost for them to give my laptop sound?Or is there something else I should do that I wasn't aware of? Please help me, because I can't find any solutions to my problem. I've tried other websites and forums to no avail. My problem is really critical. Please help me! |

Re: My Dell Inspiron E1405 has no sound.
Did you go to the Dell support site, enter your Service Tag Number and download the sound drivers?
When you look in Device Manager wht is shown with a yellow ! or as "Unknown"
