maxtor HDD is detected but not shown in my computer
i have some important data in my old HDD, i am trying to connect to my new pc and this sata was a second hdd into my new pc, but it wont show up. it is a maxtor sata hdd
and motherboard is biostar p4m900-m4 i tried going into device manager and finding it, but its not there. anyone able to help out? i have read some thread about maxtor sata drives and did some home work, i restart my computer and went to cmos and open all sata ports , actually they were already enable, i have some info about computers and i did my best to diagnose this HDD but no luck even i went to disk management and try to find there but its not there i have check all conections and every thing is fine, when i first connect this HDD to my mother board and turn my computer on , the message popup that new hard ware connect and installing and ready to use but can not find on my computer, i am using XP media center edition please need some urgent help Last edited by jasoomro; 08-29-2009 at 10:58 AM. |
