lost hard drive space
Hi,
Currently i am using a dual boot system i.e windows vista sp1 and ubuntu linux.. I installed ubuntu on a system with pre-installed windows. i had a 160 gb hard drive and i allocated 60 gb to ubuntu. Now if i boot ubuntu i can access the hard drive allocated to windows (shown as a seperate partition) but when i boot from windows i cannot access the space allocated to ubuntu. In windows I checked with management..(right click my computer...etc.)it shows the ubuntu allocated space as healthy primary but on a right click only 2 options can be selected i.e "delete partition" and "help". how can i access this partition in windows. plz help. thanks |

Re: lost hard drive space
What filesystem for ubuntu? How about a screen cap from Disk management. Best guess would be when you installed ubuntu you used ext# or reiser for the file system, neither one of which windows can recognize.
