Laptop will not start!!!!!!!
ok here i go again, my daughters laptop will not start it was working fine one day but not the next
compaq persario f700 amd athilon 64x2 1.8 ghz windows vista home premium 32 bit 103 hdd 1gb of ram so here is the deal when i go to start the laptop the power light comes on for about 1-2 sec then it goes right back off i know the power adapter is fine the lights on the laptop light up when it is plugged in also i have 3 of these laptops and i have tried other adapters. i r&r all the drives and the ram in hopes maybe something wasent right no luck, i then changed the ram out just incase it went bad (i had extra since i upgraded one of the laptops already) still no luck so as a last ditch thought i switched hdd between the a running laptop to the one that wont start up and the hdd from the bad laptop works just fine in the other one and then hdd from the good laptop still wont let the bad laptop start up. so to sum up i tried the ram,the hdd and the power adapter(sometimes its nice to have 3 of the same machines)and still no dice i think am looking at the motherboard but i want to know if maybe am missing something. as always thank-you in advance Last edited by aznat1970; 08-05-2009 at 12:45 AM. |
