External HD Help

I just installed Windows XP Gamer Editon and its not letting me access my fat32 formatted external hard drive. The computer shows that the device is connected why i try to "safely remove the hardware" but it doesn't show up in "my computer" like in a normal windows xp edtion. How do i access it?

Gamer Edition is not a legitimate copy of XP so based on Forum Rules we are unable to provide support.
