Can someone recommend me a hard drive?

This is my mobo G31T-LM http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/21...LM_Core_2.html

I'm looking into buying a new internal hard drive because the one I have sucks. Its only 80gb and 5000rpm I don't really care about rpm though. My price range is 60 with S&H included. Thanks!

Ps: I want it to be atleast 300gb

Pss: Also it has to be from newegg xD

Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB 7200RPM SATA

A little over budget at $70, but there's a big drop in performance and size between $50 and $70, and the extra $10 is worth it for this one.

Re: Can someone recommend me a hard drive?

If I bought that hard drive I would not have enough for my ram upgrade. So I really need one that is 60 or under.

Re: Can someone recommend me a hard drive?

Hi,

I have only ever had WD's and would only ever recomend them to people, But having had a 4 month old 640gb fail last week, and maybe the start of a 2 month old 1tb fail tonight I am not so sure.

You are limiting yourself with a $60.00 budget and as the old saying goes you only (normally) get what you pay for!

Newegg has a great tool for buyers, the review centre make use of it to help you decide, there is a 500gb seagate for $59.00 with lots of reviews (not all good) but you are getting the voice of many that have had and used the things for a while...
Here is a link to the drive I mentioned above, its not what I would buy but as I said you are limiting yourself with $60.00 for +300gb
