Windows vista laptop wont recognize my Harddrive.
I recently bourght a western digital 1TB My Book hard drive. It has been working fine for 3 weeks but yesterday I found some problems. Everytime I plug its USB cord into my laptop nothing comes up it doesn’t even show it when I go to "my computer".
 . Can you please help me out is it a driver problem. I need to access it ASAP. thanx.

Do other USB devices work in your Laptop?
Look in Device Manager for any Yellow marks in the USB area. Does the external drive work in another PC?
