HDD transfer situation
I am building this new computer and I am going to install my old hard drive from my emachine pc to my new pc. My current computer came with a recovery disc but it is an emachine cd. Now, if I start my new pc with the emachine recovery disc, will I be able to reformat?

Re: HDD transfer situation
Yes but your window's licesnse will be invalid. The old computer came with an OEM license which goes with the processor/motherboard - you cannot reuse that windows license in another machine.
