Exclamation Lost Folders/Files!

quited pissed off now..

lent my friend my external hard disk..

after he returned it ,
im unable to view ANY FOLDERS at all.
tried everythign i could think of, ticked/unticked almost everything i could think of in the folder options but still could not see any folders at all.
at my wits end already.

The hardk disk says the files is still there though,

its 160gb storage but inside got only 20b avalible for use,
its like lost files !

anyway to retrieve the files ??



finshed scaning with testdisk but is says cannot be recovered!

It looks like chkdsk ran on the drive based on the found records try r-syudio or getdataback demos to scan the drive and see if they can locate the files.

That's what I was afraid of, chkdsk did it's thing and scrambled the filesystem. Chances are the data is still intact, but the filenames are no longe available since the driectory structure is hosed.
