Confused Invalid DST Short Status Test results?

Hello,

I have a Dell Latitude D800, and I have recently been having problems with my laptop screen. After having done some research, I am all but certain that the computer screen backlight has failed, but to be certain, I ran a PSA test today to see if the problem persisted. It did, but I also got an unexpected result; the computer failed the Start DST Short Test. I got the following error code, "1000 -0146," plus this message, "Unit 0:DST Log contains previous errors."

As far as I know, I have no hard drive problems, but about 3 years ago, the computer's original hard drive crashed and was replaced with a Fujitsu MHV2060AH. The computer now has no problems booting and runs fine (despite my screen problems). Several months ago (before the screen failed), I got some blue screens after updating my firewall program, but I haven't gotten any blue screens in months. Any thoughts? Are Dell and Fujitsu incompatible?

Re: Invalid DST Short Status Test results?

Sweet, thanks! I'm traveling at the moment and don't have my laptop with me, but as soon as I get back home I'll try this out.

And thanks for the welcome as well.
