Imaging software
Greetings all,
First a description of what I'm trying to do: I have multiple computers of which the files often get moved, deleted, new programs installed, new files added. I need these computers put back to their original condition and preferably in less then the current 3 - 4 hours it currently takes. I currently use an imaging software with image files saved on a network PC in order do accomplish this, however I am getting pressed for time and this system is not very lenient in that respect. I also need to be able to send this method to others so they can do the same. Now, while I have sent them the exact method and files that I use for imaging they are all having issues setting up the system to work on their networks, so what I am looking for now is a non networked solution. I was hoping for something along the lines of a bootable USB program with a GUI on which the image files could also be stored. This way all they would need to do is plug in the USB drive and follow some simple instructions to image any computers they had. The problem I'm having with this is finding an imaging program that will boot from a USB drive and have a GUI to follow, along with the ability to see the drive it is running from in order to save image files to/pull image files from said device. In the end the question is: Is there a GUI based imaging program that can run off a bootable USB drive that will be able to see the drive it is booting from? |
