Hard Drive Warranty

Hi! I've been looking at hard drives on ebay, and a question came to mind. How do you read the warranty info on a drive? Is there a web page that has this info? Any and all responses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Most of the manufacturer's sites have their warranty on the site...

Thanks for the response. Sorry, I didn't make myself clear before. I mean the numbers on the drive itself. I know there are a set of numbers on a drive that you can use to look up the warranty date---when the warranty is up.

Depends on the manufacturer, most have a tool you enter either the Serial number or the date ( in seagate's case date code) and it will tell you when the warranty expires, or at least if the drive is under warranty.
