Cry Hard drive not under Disk management

Hey new here hope i put this in the right place.

I am using Windows xp sp3 in a Multi Processor computer.

When I go under Computer Management after right clicking my computer and clicking manage.

If I look under:
Computer Management-System tools- Device manager- Disk drives I can see the hard drive I wish to format.

But when I go under:
Computer Management-Storage-Disk Management all I see are a 4 Cd-Roms numbered: 0 44 46 48 but no hard disk.

Now when I look under:
Computer Management-Storage-Disk Defragmenter again their both there.

I have reformatted just 2 weeks ago and all was well but now I get this. Also if I try to go under Bios it tells me something about not partitioned but I can go into setup utility.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If you need to know anything else just ask.
