Hey i need some advice here...
I have a 6.5 gb file that i want to copy onto my friend's 500gb external hard drive but i cant as it is formated as fat32 and there is some sort of limit.. is there any way i can do this without reformating it? Cheers for any suggestions or answers

Fat32 is limited to 4 GB file size, the only option is to use the 'convert' command to convert the drive to NTFS. If it is only used on windows machines it will be fine, there is no data loss on using this command to go from FAT32 to NTFS, but the only way to go back to FAt32 is to format the drive. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/214579
