Toshiba LAN Port Problem..

Good day guys, I am newbie here and glad to be a part of this community..

I have a problem which I think you only guyz could help me... I have this Laptop Toshiba satellite 2450 model and i've been using this for quite sometime..
I have no problem with connecting through internet before till one day, I cannot connect anymore and found out that the LAN port where i used to connect my DSL has a light even my laptop was turned off. I guess there's something wrong with this port coz i really cant connect through the net and my laptop wasn't wi-fi... hope you could help me guys.. your help would be much appreciated... Thanks in advance...

Re: Toshiba LAN Port Problem..

Your question/description is confusing to say the least. I think you need to go into the device manager and uninstall the network adapter, then reboot. Xp should install the driver.

... *** is the problem? The light on your ethernet port isn't lighting up? That's what I got from that garbled mess of words... I'm so confused I think I'll take a nap.

Thanks for the reply.. yes it might sound weird, but i even tried to reformat the whole OS and still the same.. the port has still a light which is actually the sign if i am connected to the net.. but the main problem is, even the laptop was turned off, the light indicator still ON.. hope this clears up...

The light is on when the laptop is off? If the laptop is plugged in to the A/C or at least has a Ethernet cable in it, the LAN port lights up to show your hardware is connected. This sentence is poorly worded. I'd love to help you more, but I can't understand the problem.

So now it is wifi enabled? What's changed?

You see, in general, I know what I'm talking about. What I don't understand is what you're trying to say. Because 'coz' isn't a word, I'm having trouble understanding your jargon.
