Question Compatability Type?

Hey all, my current hard drive is a 1 Ultra ATA ata-6 IDE/EIDE port and Im just wondering if this means my computer will accept EIDE drives as well. Im looking for a drive with free-fall sensors but all i can find are SATA drives and im sure my computer will not accept one.

OR i could be dead wrong, HP is not one to give direct information regarding such issues and maybe my notebook can accept SATA drives, in that case that would be sweet.

Anyone know? My notebook is an HP pavillion dv8309us....

Lol, sorry in advanced for my poor grammar.

Re: Compatability Type?

It takes IDE, not Sata. Try and get a 7200 rpm Hard drive. Quite a bit faster than 5400 rpm.
