Chkdsk found errors. Replace drive?
I have a 4 year old hard drive. Chkdsk found errors. At what point do you replace a drive? I know the half life of a drive is 5 - 7 years.

Re: Chkdsk found errors. Replace drive?
The life of a drive is until it fails. Chkdsk tho is more concerned with checking the file structure of the drive, not the physical drive. Try MHDD from www.hddguru.com or Victoria for windows to get a better idea of the condition of the drive. Chkdsk will only fix a couple of simple logical issues, and on a failing drive will often cause data loss.
