switching SATA master/slaves drives
Im installing a 2nd SATA hard drive in a (XP) system with a current SATA drive. Im wanting to make the new HD master and the existing slave. Can I just switch the ribbon cable or does that not matter and I'll have to do this via cmos/bios/*** its called (I know what it is, just cant think which name it is cause this cold medicine is making my brain foggy).
Also, does XP SP3 have any size limitations? I just picked up a 1tb sata drive Im installing in my PC. I remember seeing something bout this, but dont remember the specifics. thanx! |

Re: switching SATA master/slaves drives
switching cables on sata drive doesnt do anything .................. you must use the "boot device priority" in the bios to set which drive will get booted from
