Hard Drive problem
Hi i am Harsha Prabhu, from Bangalore. I have western digital SATA 80GB HDD(New one replaced with old on warranty) I want to install Windows xp service pack 2 or later.I have asus mother board.But while installing first it will show SATA HDD,DVD drive,flopy disk,after selecting sata as primary boot device and DVD drive as secondary boot device(with os cd) it shows a message something like " hard drive has not been installed".So kindly solve my problem.

Put the dvd drive first in the bios boot order. You need to boot from the xp disc to install, and by having the hard drive first you get an error message as that's the first place specified to look for a boot device.
