Removing windows from an old hardrive
I just got a new computer and I pulled the hd out of the old one and stuck it in a eide-usb enclosure to have access to my old files. I'm thinking about using it as a back-up but the one problem I've run into is that I can't delete windows off of it. Is there a way I can delete it without reformatting?
Thanks in advance. |

Re: Removing windows from an old hardrive
What is the error you get when you try? If it is access denied then take ownership of the disk - Right click on the drive letter in my computer, select properties -> security tab -> advanced-> owner-> check the apply to child objects then select your user name and OK back out of the dialogs.
