WD HDD not spinning!

Hello,
1st post.
hdd not spinning. have needed info to recover. been searching web and have been reading about logic bds. i think this might help me out. i'm not a tech, but believe i can handle this. any other suggestions. all i want to do is download to another drive.

Could work on that drive, I don't think there are any adaptives stored on the PCboard of the JB series. To swap the board you will need an appropriate donor. You will need to match teh Full model/part number, the DCM number and the white label on the PCBoard near the connector you wil need to match teh first two sets of numbers. Try the board swap first, if that works great, grab your data, if it either still doesn't spin, or if it spins but won't come ready ( not recognized) you will probably have to swap the U12 chip from the patient board to the new donor board.

by the way. think this is good for a 2.5 from laptop? got one been keeping for such a time as this.
