hd setup

Hello everyone!

So seems that my WD raptor decided to crap out on me over my Christmas break :( good thing is it still has a warranty...somehow.

Anyways I am getting the new WD 74GB Raptor SATA and I also bought a WD Cavair 320GB SATA for storage so I don't lose everything again.

I was running an XP OS but am upgrading to Vista since I am anyways. I was wondering what the best setup is for setting up these hard drives. Should I use RAID or what not? HDs are not my expertise.

My main use for the computer is for gaming. Does anyone have any suggestions that would be helpful and how to go about doing it?

Thank you for your responses

Re: hd setup

Building a raid requires matching or at least relatively close drives.... so that is not a good option... Run games off the fastest drive, put the pagefile on the disk without the OS
