I just got new sata 250 gigWD. I just got host sata host controller card to plug into mother board. Now I have 2 IDEs which one do I plug my cd-rw into??/ your help is very much appreciated thank you

Plug it in as secondary master on end of cable and jumpered as Master if you still have the old hard drive as primary master if not set it up as primary master

I don,t have old hard drive, but I did set the cd-rw for master when I tried to boot the first time to install the Raid controller I couldn,t access it would leave message that it could not find controller, So I connected the hard drive and immediately it went to the raid configuration utility. The only option it would allow me to do was a low level format. Is that what I should do?
