Beyond HD-337-U2C hard drive

I have a Beyond HD-337-U2C external hard drive that was formatted to run on an Apple. I would like to now use it on my PC. Is there a way to format it to my PC or am I just out of luck? Is so, how? Thank you

Re: Beyond HD-337-U2C hard drive

Rich, thanks for the reply and for the welcome.

The problem is that the drive does not show up in my computer. It shows up as hooked up through USB but does not say what is hooked up and certainly does not show the drive there. I was thinking that it did not show up there because it was formatted originally through OSx and not windows but I am not sure what the reason is. Any thoughts on how to get it to show up and then format it? It is totally worthless to me right now. Thanks

Does it show in Disk Management? Right click on My COmputer . . select Manage . . Disk Management . . look in the boxes in the lower right for the drive

Re: Beyond HD-337-U2C hard drive

Yes, it does show up there. Thanks. Now how do I format that disk? It says something about initialize. What does that do? Thank you for your help. Merry Christmas. Brett

Re: Beyond HD-337-U2C hard drive

I followed your directions and hit initialize but it did not show format. I am not sure what it did but the computer still does not show it under My Computer and I can still not access it. I can still see it under disk management but now it does not offer the initialize option. Any thoughts? Thanks
